Terms of sale

1. Scope

These terms govern the sale of kitchen knives and sharpening accessories by Yaiba, à compléter avant mise en ligne, to consumer buyers.

2. Products

The knives offered are Japanese-style kitchen knives with a plain edge, in VG10 steel, forged in China. They are intended for culinary use only.

3. Age verification

Selling bladed items to a minor is prohibited. Placing an order requires ticking an age statement, which is recorded with the order. Orders placed without it are refused.

4. Prices

Prices are in euros, tax included, excluding delivery. Delivery costs are stated on the product page and calculated before payment is confirmed.

5. Orders and payment

The confirmation button reads "Order with obligation to pay". Payment is handled on the secure page of our provider, Stripe. No card data passes through or is stored on this site.

6. Delivery

Dispatched within 2 working days. Delivered in 12 to 20 days, the real observed delay from the production workshop.

7. Right of withdrawal

Buyers in the European Union have 14 days from receipt to withdraw without reason. The product must be returned complete and in resaleable condition. Refunds are issued within 14 days of receipt of the return. Return shipping is at the buyer's expense. A 30 day money back guarantee applies on the same terms.

8. Legal guarantees

All products carry the two year legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects. Normal edge dulling, chips caused by misuse (bones, frozen food, glass or stone boards) and dishwasher damage are excluded.

9. Product safety

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law.
